I was raised by strong, hard-working Dutch parents whose work ethic has transcended into my career and personal life. Fortunately for us, our parents took my brother and I back home to Holland almost every year until our teenage years. I have a very large family with 20 aunts and uncles and over 100 first, second and third cousins. We were privileged to be able to watch so many of them work very hard and succeed in so many different careers. We learned first-hand what it meant to enjoy the fruits of our labour.

I come from a family of builders with my father and husband both being builders and my brother who works as a general contractor/renovators. With my mother also being self-employed, entrepreneurship came naturally to me.

At the age of 20, I started Builders Cleaning Services, a construction cleaning company. I worked hard and because of my sweat equity the business flourished. At 30 years old, the business was running nicely with 12 employees and 52 contracts. Then a very handsome opportunity came up to sell. I was excited and motived to start a career in real estate, so I jumped into it in 2000 and have never looked back.

When I was 23, I purchased my first home, a 5-plex on the Hamilton mountain! It was a big step at such a tender age but with my families support it was thankfully made possible. At 25, my husband and I purchased our first family home, also in Hamilton.

Since then, we have moved an additional four times as well as purchased four investment properties. To date, we are still managing one of them in the downtown core. The real estate industry has been good to me and because of this I became a top producer in my first year in business. Its been an amazing journey and I have never looked back.

In 2014, I obtained my Senior Real Estate Designation and have helped many seniors with their retirement moves. I have a natural and very strong desire to help and protect seniors.

I was born in Burlington, however grew up and lived in Hamilton for most of my life with the last few years in Caledonia. I’m looking forward to downsizing my home soon as my children will be on their own in the next few years. My passion is people and helping them achieve their personal real estate goals.

Helping families find a home to create their own family memories is very precious to me. The biggest thrill I still get after all these years is when I get to tell you that your deal has been accepted! There is nothing quite like that feeling.
