September marked the third consecutive month of improved year-over-year sales activity, signaling continued momentum in the market. An increase in new listings and overall inventory has given buyers more selection; however, this added supply has placed pressure on prices in certain areas. Benchmark home prices in the Hamilton-Burlington region remain below last year’s levels. That said, many local communities and neighbourhoods are outperforming the regional average, showing pockets of strong demand. The recent interest rate cut by the Bank of Canada has helped boost buyer confidence. While sellers are actively preparing their homes for the fall market, buyers are cautiously re-entering the market — contributing to a more balanced and dynamic environment as we head deeper into the season.
